Rihanna Breaks Down In Tears!

Rihanna has sparked concern among her fans after she reportedly broke down in tears during an emotional performance in Ireland on Tuesday.

 

The 'Umbrella' hitmaker's concert in Dublin got off to a rocky start as she turned up 30 minutes late for her gig at the city's Aviva Stadium.

 

But that wasn't the evening's most shocking element - the 28-year-old singer stunned fans as she began crying during a rendition of her hit track 'Love the Way you Lie'. 

 

As she launched into the song, Rihanna quickly became emotional, turning away from the camera as she lifted up her hands to signal for taking a moment out.

 

Her fans screamed words of support and she continued into the song as she was encouraged by the crowd. 

 

Rihanna has been relatively private about her personal life recently, focusing many of her social media posts on her latest music and fashion ventures.

Bounty Killer and Mavado make peace

"Unity is strength," is what producer Seanizzle had to say upon realising that Bounty Killer and his  protégé Mavado have seemingly put the past behind them.
An elated Bounty Killer took to instgram to announce that he and Mavado have made peace. The iconic dancehall artiste expressed happiness about the reunion.
"Sorry for all who didn't want to see this folks but give God all the praises there ain't ntn he cannot fix much love goes out to @mavadogully for the surprise fathers night link it was a great moment at @hennessy_bounty_sundays last night," he wrote.
"Father and son like it were (sic) in the beginning one step of unity is a mile of strength Tag A Friend If U Are Happy To See This As I Am Now," the post continued.
And Bounty Killer is not the only one happy about the visit from Mavado, fans on social media are equally excited.
"I loooooove this!!!!" one social media user commented.
"So excited to see this @grunggaadzilla @mavadogully," another person wrote.

Alkaline has had his US visa revoked?

Reports have surfaced that Dancehall Artiste Alkaline has had his US visa revoked.

 

According to Jamrockone.com, the visa was revoked on May 13, after the Artiste released a politically motivated track titled 'Save Yourself' in which he addressed Jamaica and Caribbean nations, saying “You can’t change my pride,you can’t take my power.”

 

However the single in question has not surfaced online, nor has been heard by anyone the Zee has made checks with.

 

Further reports state that Alkaline has been banned for advocating violence against homosexuals, while some have said that it is a repercussion stemming from Jamaica’s refusal to cooperate in the U.S extraction of a drug dealer.

 

Alkaline joins fellow deejays Beenie Man, Mavado and Bounty Killer, who have all, at some point, had their visas revoked.

Vybz Kartel to launch school refurbishing program

Jeffery Hype revealed to the Zee that incarcerated Deejay Vybz Kartel has a number of other ventures in the planning stages, including a scholarship program for students and the refurbishing of institutions.

This following the release of his Gaza Vybz rum, which hit shelves last week. 

He says though the entertainer is behind bars, he still wants to do what he can for the community. 

Meanwhile following the launch of 'Gaza Vybz Rum', Jeffery Hype says the product has been successful since its release, and now they're looking to take the product into other Caribbean markets.

Chronixx Calls Vybz Kartel A Cannibal

Chronixx is perhaps the first reggae artist out to openly criticized Vybz Kartel influenced and impact on dancehall music.

Kartel, who is currently incarcerated, is arguably the most popular artist in Jamaica over the last decade. But Chronixx, who is another rising star in reggae music, is not a fan of the former Portmore Empire leader’s often controversial lyrics.

The outspoken conscious singer appeared on Noisey’s recent episode aired on Tuesday night, where he opened up about violence in Jamaican music, singling out Vybz Kartel as the main contributor and labeling him as a “cannibal.”

“Vybz Kartel himself has done a lot of good things in life, I must say,” Chronixx said. “Gangsterism, cannibalism… because Vybz Kartel overtime became a cannibal. When you listen to his music it is very cannibalistic. It became so pleasant to the human that there is a thing within us that crazes chopping up people and beheading people and cut out a man inside.”

Vybz Kartel was convicted of murder in 2014 for the death of his associate Clive “Lizard” Williams. A voicenote from the deejay’s Blackberry phone served as key evidence where he allegedly discussed chopping up Lizard in small pieces and disposed of his remains at sea.

Williams’ body has still not being found and cops seems to have given up hopes of finding it.

Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, his protege Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones were all sentenced to life with hard labor in a maximum security prison.

The dancehall star is appealing the conviction.

New Vybz Kartel on billboard

AS the first anniversary of his sentence for murder approaches, deejay Vybz Kartel earns his best showing to date on Billboard's Reggae Album chart.
Viking (Vybz is King), an 11-track set produced by Linton 'TJ' White, debuts at number three on that table. It is the controversial artiste's fifth title on the Billboard chart.
White, who has produced hits for Kartel including Touch a Button, Business, Conjugal Visit (featuring Spice), Without Money and Ordinary Servant, is not surprised at reception to the album.


"All the songs are brand new and people want new songs. These are exclusive that have never been released," White told the Jamaica Observer, adding: "At one point we had six of the songs on the iTunes charts at the same time." Tracks from Viking (Vybz is King) include Dancehall, Gon Get Better, Enchanting, Time, Volcano, Facebook People and Unstoppable.
It bears the TJ Records/Adidjahiem Records/Short Boss Muzik imprints and is distributed by 21st Hapilos.
Kartel's previous entries on the Billboard Reggae Album chart are 2011's Kingston Story which peaked at number seven; Vybz Kartel Roots & Culture: The Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto, which reached number six in 2013; Kartel Forever: Trilogy, which stalled at number 11 in 2013; and last year's Reggae Love Songs & Other Things which got to number seven.
The 39-year-old Kartel (Adidja Palmer) was sentenced to life in prison on April 4 2014 for the August 2011 murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams. He will be eligible for parole after 35 years.
However, his popularity among the youth and hardcore dancehall fans remains strong. He won four awards at the recent Youth View Awards.
White has also had success on Billboard charts. His reworking of the Showtime 'riddim', called Unfinished Business, scored hits on the R&B Hop Hip Songs chart with Serani's No Games and Mavado's So Special.

Buju Banton Pens Message To His Fans

Incarcerated Reggae Star Buju Banton has penned a letter in prison, asking fans 'not to be distracted by all the things that are taking place around them'.

 

Buju who is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence in the United States, in a letter posted by Vibe Magazine's popular Boomshots column, also blasted contemporary music, describing it as “meaningless”.

 

Buju says It doesn’t stimulate, it doesn’t educate, and it doesn’t reinvigorate. 

 

He say ''all it does is get you angry because it’s filled with nothing but narcissists exalting themselves over the earthly possessions that they have managed to get''. 

 

He says the music and the people are suffering.

 

The Grammy-winning Entertainer is expected to be release in December 2018, after serving a 10-year sentence on drug-related offences. 

 

He is serving time in a federal prison in Florida.

Artiste clothes set ablaze over cheating allegations

Entertainer Moshan who garnered attention after the release of the single Social Media is caught in a dilemma as a result of social media.

Moshan’s girlfriend reportedly set his clothes ablaze following a search of his cellphone where she stumbled on pictures she didn’t approve of.

Moshan told WTS on Saturday that the saga started after he returned home intoxicated one night.

Will Vybz Kartel’s bid for an appeal be forthcoming in 2016?
According to a Music News source, this is very likely. New details are that Vybz Kartel has assembled his legal team who are now in the process of reviewing the transcripts before an attempt for an appeal is made.
Entertainers Vybz Kartel and Sean Storm among others were sentenced to life imprisonment for the August 16, 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

Social Media Weighs In On Alleged Diss Track By Alkaline

One of the most asked questions these days is: Did Alkaline diss Kartel and Popcaan? in one of his latest releases.

 

A new track titled "City" from Alkaline's EP, set for release on March 25, includes a line which many speculate is a direct diss towards Vybz Kartel and Popcaan.

 

The diss hears Alkaline implying that Kartel's career is dead and Popcaan wears bubbles in his hair.

 

Since its release social media has been abuzz with speculation and questions with fans of all three acts commenting on the track.

Rihanna’s Anti moves back to number 1

Rihanna’s Anti moves back to number 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, collecting its second week at the top.

 

According to Nielsen Music, the diva’s set earned another 54,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 17.

 

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). 

 

The new April 2-dated chart ,where Anti is number 1, will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, March 22.

Bittersweet moment for Nesbeth

Nesbeth continues to mourn the death of his wife Ann Marie Elliot, who was laid to rest last Saturday. 

 

The 'My Dream' Hitmaker says despite his continued success, he's going through a very 'dark' moment since the death of Ann Marie. 

 

She died of undisclosed complications in the US, last month. 

 

Nesbeth further states that he's happy that his single is serving as an inspiration to many persons who also helped to  make 'My Dream' a huge success.

CHINO AND STEPHEN MCGREGOR RELEASE FIRST SINGLE FROM UPCOMING COLLAB ALBUM

Their first single: Zero Tolerance now has an accompanying music video and is from their collab album titled: Great Minds Think A Like -GMTA-.

 

Stephen "The Genius" McGregor says this is one of four singles to be released prior to the release of the album this summer.

 

 

This GMTA project was first brought to the Zee's attention some two years ago and so we asked if scheduling conflicts or just overall preparation of the album, are to be blamed for the delay.

BAY-C’S SOLO CAREER AMPED WITH NEW 'BETTER MUST COME' EP

Bay-C, Part of the 4 member Dancehall /Reggae group T.O.K, has released a solo EP project entitled “Better Must Come”.

 

Bay-C’s solo artiste push has so far seen him releasing; a dance music single called ‘Flow’ he recorded with British producer Lokate and British artiste Doctor.

 

'Flow" was recently selected for the latest version of popular video game, Need for Speed. 

 

Bay-C in a release said he is very excited about this achievement and sees it as a sign his solo career decision was an excellent one.

 

The project is executively produced by Bay-C’s Bombrush Records with individual record labels producing each single on the EP.

 

Other singles on the ‘Better Must Come’ EP include; ‘Straight Outta Portmore’, ‘Hold it out’, ‘Star’ and the title track ‘Better Must Come’.

 

The full EP will be released digitally on Good Friday, March 25.

Gully Bop gets back his Passport and travel documents

Gully Bop says he's now able to travel after, his Passport was returned by his former lover and manager Shauna Chin. 

He says after several demands were made, Chin returned his Passport.  

He also stated that  Chin was using his documents to scam promoters.

Funeral date set for Entertainer J Capri

The body of Dancehall Artiste J Capri is to laid to rest on Monday December 14, with her memorial service being held at the UWI Chapel, starting at 9:45am. 

 

Prior to the funeral service, her nine-night will be held on Saturday December 12,  at the Little Copa Club, 8 Miles in Bull Bay, East Kingston.

 

This was announced via her social media pages. 

 

The Entertainer who passed away on Friday December 4, was involved a car accident on November 23  and was rushed to University Hospital of the West Indies where she was placed in an induced coma. 

 

An autopsy was carried out on Saturday and her father revealed that an infection allegedly contracted subsequent to her surgeries, led to lung complications and a failed kidney which reportedly contributed to her death.

 

J Capri who's correct name is Jordan Phillips, is well known for singles such as 'Whine And Kotch'', Reverse it'', "Pull Up To Mi Bumper'' among others.

 

She was 23 years old.

J Capri update: Father says Singer is in a coma

The father of Dancehall Artiste J Capri, has provided an update on his daughter's condition, after she was involved in a serious car accident early this morning. 

 

The 'REVERSE IT'' Deejay was involved in a motor vehicle accident while travelling in the Barbican area, when she lost control of her C-200 Mercedes Benz motorcar, resulting in an accident. 

 

Her father tells the Zee that J Capri was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies and underwent surgery after suffering serious head injuries. He says she is in urgent need of blood.

Jah Vinci in car accident!

Dancehall Artiste Jah Vinci  was involved in a car accident which took place in St. James, at the weekend. The Accident occurred on Saturday while travelling in Gutters, in the parish. 

 

Jah Vinci was not the driver at the time of the accident.

 

Speaking to the Zee, Jah Vinci who is now in good spirits, detailed the incident while being thankful that his life was spared.

Blac Chyna's BMW Involved In Crash Driven By Reality Star Paige Addison

It seems Blac Chyna was telling the truth when she said she wasn't behind the wheel during a hit and run crash earlier this month. Reports are that the driver is fellow reality TV star Paige Addison from the show "Boss Nails". 

 

The story first reported by celebrity site TMZ stated that Chyna's white BMW nailed another vehicle carrying 3 passengers in the valley. Witnesses say two African-American women in mini skirts bailed from the Beamer and Chyna remained adamant, it wasn't her. 

 

Sources close to the investigation say Paige Addison met with the LAPD earlier this week with her attorney and admitted she was the driver.

 

Law enforcement sources say the case will be referred to prosecutors leaving the scene of an accident where there are injuries can be prosecuted as a felony.

 

The law in California states that if a car owner gives permission to someone else to drive their car, the owner and driver are both legally responsible if the driver gets into an accident. Chyna was home that night, but she has been known to lend her car out to friends.
