Incarcerated Reggae Star Buju Banton has penned a letter in prison,
asking fans 'not to be distracted by all the things that are taking
place around them'.
Buju who is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence in the
United States, in a letter posted by Vibe Magazine's popular Boomshots
column, also blasted contemporary music, describing it as “meaningless”.
Buju says It doesn’t stimulate, it doesn’t educate, and it doesn’t reinvigorate.
He say ''all it does is get you angry because it’s filled with
nothing but narcissists exalting themselves over the earthly possessions
that they have managed to get''.
He says the music and the people are suffering.
The Grammy-winning Entertainer is expected to be release in
December 2018, after serving a 10-year sentence on drug-related
offences.
He is serving time in a federal prison in Florida.
